I LOVE when I get to step outside the normal status quo of my American culture, and into the rich colorful traditions of an Indian wedding.  Its such a breath of fresh air to see how other folks express love and happiness, in fact, I thrive on it.

By the time I retire, I'm hoping I get to see every type of marriage ceremony under the sun.  Even though the practices and the cultural references are different, the sentiment is the same.  Two people joining together to become one.

Sataish and Suzeanna's wedding was definitely one of extravagance.  Aside from the beautiful outfits and gorgeous decorations, I think my favorite part was when they came up out of the floor like pop-singers while sparklers exploded in the background.  What an entrance.

Taking place over the course of two days, the families worshipped, cried, danced, and celebrated the weekend away.  I was honored to be included in this truly remarkable celebration and I cant wait to watch how Sataish and Suzeanna grow their brand new family into a larger one.
